Painful Funding

Painful Funding (2022) is an episode of De Podcastura where, together with the host Anastasia Lemberg-Lvova, I confront the challenges of funding in the arts and culture sector. It marks my first appearance on a podcast.

As a guest of De Structura, I was invited to share my experiences as a young cultural manager in the Netherlands. Through candid conversations and personal anecdotes, we discuss the complexities of navigating the landscape of the creative sector, shedding light on the flaws of the traditional education system that often leaves artists ill-equipped to tackle the realities of funding. From inadequate resources to the lack of practical skills, we explore the myriad challenges facing emerging artists and urge for an open and honest dialogue about the issues plaguing the creative community.
